NUTS TV ANNOUNCES PROGRAMMING LINE UP As with all live television programming viewers should expect the unexpected; there are cameras all over the purpose built NUTS TV studio, in the corridors, the production office and even in make up.. Because it is live, NUTS TV will cover the most topical stories of the day with a distinctively playful tone. There’ll be plenty in store for viewers who like their news and entertainment fast, furious and funny, all served up in the same lively manner they’d expect down the pub or with their workmates. Familiar faces among the channel’s presenters are Dan Wright, Steve Marsh, Zoe Hardman, Lynsey Horn, OJ Borg, and Geoff Norcott. With daily panel shows featuring top comedians and members of the public, NUTS TV taps into the core elements of entertainment - sport, gadgets, cars, music, comedy, news, and girls. Shows include Gender Bender, in which three lads and three girls go to eye-popping extremes to prove they know the most about the opposite sex; it’s northern grit against southern wit in North vs. South and three blokes fight for the chance to give their phone number to Miss England, Miss Liverpool and Miss Glasgow as they hope, Will Beauty Call? The live programming starts at 21:00 every evening with Rude News, a daily digest of the least important, global stories of the day. There is also a twice-nightly sports news show – Fanzai – which brings much-needed comedy to the field. NUTS TV brings culture to the masses as Lucy Pinder reads excerpts from Shakespeare and HG Wells in Book at Bedtime. Each week there’ll be live music, celebrity interviews plus plenty of competitions, including the great hot tub giveaway. Amongst the first confirmed guests are musician Just Jack, fresh from his debut appearance on V Festival’s main stage, and actor and comedian Paul Kaye who made his name as shock interviewer Dennis Pennis. Other programming highlights include: Fit and Fearless, where young ladies, aided by spirit medium Ian Lawman, travel across the UK seeking out paranormal experiences and Britain’s Fittest Barmaid, which invites the Nation’s top pint pullers to show off their physical skills as they journey across the country. Dee Forbes, SVP & GM TBS UK commented: We are delighted to be working with both IPC Media and ETV to have developed what is a cutting-edge concept in television programming. With a multi-platform launch and UGC strategy at heart, NUTS TV will bridge the current gap in the TV marketplace. Male audiences are currently bombarded with entertainment and information so we have taken great steps to ensure this is a channel representative of their lives with content they will want to both watch, and interact with. Adrian Swift, Director of Television, ETV, added: “NUTS TV will be fresh television that not only allows the audience to see the programme itself, but behind the scenes as it's made live. Viewers can also be part of the show by texting, calling or sending in their own content.”
